Plums
Its origin is unknown, although there are theories that locates it in the Caucasus areas, was introduced to Italy and there throughout Europe.
Description
Small fruit with a round or oval shape. Its yellow skin is thin but hard, smooth and shiny. The meat is fleshy and fibrous and with a sweet to sour taste.
Varieties: The best-known variety is the Golden Japan, which is pale yellow in colour and very bright.
Seasonality: The best months for the consumption of plums are June, July and August.
